Preventive Medicine 2010, the annual meeting of the American College of Preventive Medicine, is the premier event for professionals in disease prevention and health promotion. The 2009-2010 Maryland Flu Season Wrap-Up is scheduled for April 15, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton BWI Airport, located at 7032 Elm Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21240. The Wrap-Up will feature discussion about local and national experiences in preventing seasonal and H1N1 influenza and presentation of the 2009 Maryland H1N1 Immunization Excellence Awards for outstanding efforts in preventing H1N1 in Maryland.

National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) is an annual observance to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases and celebrate the achievements of immunization programs and their partners in promoting healthy communities. Since 1994, NIIW has served as a call to action for parents, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure that infants are fully immunized against 14 vaccine-preventable diseases.
